Adobe photoshop CS3 won't install.?

Ok so I downloaded Adobe Photoshop CS3 free trial from www.adobe.com and when I try to install it, it says it cannot continue to install until I close internet explorer yet I do not have internet explorer opened.

I tried disabling my internet connection but that didn't work.

I heard I should press CTRL ALT and delete, then go to processes and close iexplorer, but I am worried about the consequences. What could happen?

It's been my experience that Adobe has problems downloading it's products. I ordered CS3 from the Adobe store, was charged $698.00 and the download was CS3 Extended trial. No amount of talking with the nice folks in India could resolve the issue and Adobe will not respond to my customer service submission forms. As good a product as Photoshop is unfortunately the company seems to be uncaring about it's customers. Now I will be on the look out for CS3 on a disc. I am afraid I have been ripped off by Adobe. Avoid Downloads from Adobe at all costs!
just do it, nothing drastic will occur.
