I need a great photoshop program! Any suggestions?

A new semester has started and I'm taking 3 computer classes. Two of them are Web Page Design and Media Arts and they both require photoshop.

Do you know any great photoshop programs I can download from the internet for free? What about ones you buy at a store? Buy or free, doesn't matter. I'm good with computers so I can handle the complicated programs.

Also, if you suggest any other great programs that involves pics, makng videos, then let me know!

Gimp is in the same class as photoshop, it come free of charge you can download it from the link below. make sure you download the one for windows,, also download the tutorial manual at the same time...
GIMP is the best free Photoshop like program available. I recommend that you use Photoshop though. It's the best. You can purchase Photoshop CS2 (the older version) for around $200.
