Adobe Photoshop Printing text?windows
If it's small text try taking turning the edges to none instead of smooth crisp etc. in CS Or turn off the anti-alias in earlier versions. (this should be in the options for the text palette or options palette at the top in CS versions)
If it's larger text it may be that you have made it to low resolution to be printed. Standard is pretty much actual size at 300 dpi, though you can get away with less it is generally better to build your file larger than the size it's going to be printed at. If this is the case there isn't much you can do about it.
If it is on larger text see if the anti-alias is off if so turn it on. If the options are set to none try it on one of the other settings and it should help it print crisper.
If you have illustrator or Quark you can import the file and redo the text in a vector based program which will give you the cleanest text.

Photoshop is made for pictures. Text becomes a picture and looses definition. You can use it to embelish larger characters, but with small type, foget it. For small text, use a DTP program.
It could be your printer heads need cleaning or you might need to change the text type to crisp or sharp in adobe.x
