In Photoshop, how do i copy from 1st file and paste to the 2nd file?avast

Open both photos make active the photo you want to copy from. Use a tool such as a lasso, or the rectangle tool to outline the portion you want to paste. Hit

Edit and copy. Then make active the second photo and hit Edit..then paste.

If the two pics are not the same resolution the copied piece may not fit. You can use your Move tool to move the piece around because you will be in the PSD format and the pasted piece will be your second layer.

If you need to adjust the size hit Ctrl %26 T this brings up a Transform box so you can adjust the size. Hold down the shift key and put your mouse on the corner of the box to adjust it larger or smaller. If you don't hold the shift key you will change the proportion. If you put your mouse outside the box at the corners you can tip it.

Hope this helps..........
