Adobe Photoshop help?

I'm writing a book and drawing the pictures for it, too. My drawings are anime-style, and the coloring's not very good. I saw a video on YouTube someone made and they drew a face and made it look real on some program. Can someone give me a link on how to make hair and skin tones look real on Adobe Photoshop? Please?

Just type in, 'realism tutorial' or replace 'tutorial' with 'tut', as that form is used on the site.
