Animation on photoshop?

how do u do it? im pretty good w/ photoshop but i havent ever tired to do animation b4 help?

The animation, The Triplets of Belleville, was done in photoshop... sort of. It was actually hand-animated in the traditional sense, then taken into photoshop for cleaning (and coloring). But that does illustrate your biggest problem with photoshop. It doesn't really do animation.

You might use a cheap animation program, then photoshop to do final clean-up (or just use it for backgrounds). You can use flipbook (lite version is $49), but I recommend even stronger Plastic Animation Paper.

Here are some alternative software packages (for doing the complete animation):

TVPaint is very similar to Photoshop, and it does have animation time-lines. Toon Boom also does animation. TVPain is raster-based; Toon Boom is vector-based.
