In Adobe Photoshop Bridge, how come the "raw" format and "jpeg" format of the sa

when I view the same shot (two thumbnails next to each other) in Adobe Photoshop's Bridge preview program, the RAW format has different color shading than the jpeg format of the same shot (the picture takeen in the camera's jpeg+raw combined mode).

Also, when I open up bridge photos, the default to some auto settings that are not the same as how the camera took them. how can I turn that effect off and just have bridge display the photo how I took it - and then let me add changes and effects on my own rather than their "auto" options.

thanks

I'm guessing that you really don't know what a RAW file is.

RAW files from digital cameras contain the "raw" data from the image sensors. No compression, no color adjustment, nada.

Pro/advanced photogrphers use RAW much like film photographers use negatives. As a starting point.

Short answer : the JPG has been processed, the RAW hasn't.
