Will knowing Adobe Photoshop CS help me with Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended?

I just got Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended and am planing on using it for basic website images-- nothing animated. I have tutorial videos for Adobe Photoshop CS for web use. Are the two programs similar enough that I will be able to use CS3 from what I've learned? I really have no Photoshop experience whatsoever.

Yes, they are similar. The CS3 Extended, just has a little more in it than regular CS3.

Yes, absolutely, most of Photoshop command is backward compatible. Therefore, you could use tutorial for earlier photoshop versions (6, 7, CS, CS2) in Photoshop CS3. Althought there are some difference, I think it'll be minor.
