How can I make special fonts in Photoshop? I don't really want to use the normal fonts. How can I make special effects with them like fading and textures?

Dear Friend,
You can create fonts using some font editor and import your font in photoshop. This will work fine. I will provide links for creating new fonts.
FontCreator - the most popular font editor

Font Creator 5.5 Trial Avaliable at

To add new fonts in Photoshop, just copy them into your Windows fonts directory, and Photoshop will find them.

First, select the font to want to work with. Write something down in Photoshop. Go to Layer in the tool option bar on top, there's a drop down menu, select Rasterize%26gt;Type. Now your type is rasterized into an image. You can now apply any effect to it; you can try going to Filter%26gt;Artistic, or anything you like and apply a filter there. Or you can go to the layers palelle, and on the bottom of it you'll see a symbol "fx", that's the layer style. click there, you'll get a drop down menu, select Blending options%26gt; then select any style you like, drop shadow, bevel and emboss, pattern overlay, and much more. You can edit each style to get the effect you want. And make sure you have the "preview" check box checked so you can see the effects as you apply them.
I hope that will help.
